Lunetu: Cine Memo · Last updated 6 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lunetu: Cine Memo ("the app", "we") handles information. We built the app so that the content you create stays with you. Please read this policy together with the Apple App Store privacy details shown on the app's store listing.

In short. The app has no user accounts and no server of our own. The memories, notes, photos, anniversary details and favorites you create are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us. The app does contact third-party services to fetch movie data, play trailers, and — in future versions — to show advertising and report crashes; those services are listed below.

1. Information You Create in the App

The app lets you create personal content: memories and written reflections, photos you attach from your photo library, meaningful dates, anniversary details, links between memories and titles, and your list of saved favorites.

This user-created content is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, is not visible to other users, and is not backed up to any server we operate. It may be included in your own device backups (for example iCloud or encrypted local backups) if you have those enabled — that backup is controlled by you and by Apple, not by us. You can delete any item at any time from inside the app, and deleting the app removes this content from your device.

Photo library access

If you choose to attach a photo to a memory, the app asks for permission to access your photo library. The photo you pick is copied into the app's own private storage so the memory can keep showing it. The app does not scan, upload or share your photo library, and it only reads the specific images you select. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or health data. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your personal content for advertising or for training any model.

3. Third-Party Services

The app relies on the third-party services listed below. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them. Some of these services may receive technical information such as your IP address, device and operating system version, and advertising or usage identifiers, as described in their policies.

Service Why the app uses it
TMDB (The Movie Database) Supplies all movie and TV metadata, posters and artwork shown in the app. Requests are read-only.
YouTube / Google Plays official trailers through the embedded YouTube player.
Google AdMob Advertising.
Google Analytics for Firebase Aggregated usage and performance analytics.
Firebase Crashlytics Crash and stability reporting.

Where advertising or analytics require your permission — for example App Tracking Transparency on iOS, or consent under the GDPR — you will be asked before any such identifier is used, and you may decline. The app remains fully usable if you decline. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and → Apple Advertising.

4. Log and Diagnostic Data

When the app crashes or misbehaves, the crash-reporting service may collect diagnostic information such as the device model, operating system version, app version, the time of the event, and the technical state of the app when it failed. This is used solely to find and fix defects.

Diagnostic reports do not include your memories, notes, photos, anniversary details or favorites. That content never leaves your device.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The app itself does not use cookies. However, the embedded YouTube player and any advertising or analytics components are web-based or SDK-based technologies that may set cookies, local storage or similar identifiers on your device, governed by the policies of Google and YouTube linked above. You can manage these through your device settings and through the consent choices the app presents.

6. Data Retention and Your Choices

7. Security

Content you create is held in the app's private storage area, protected by the operating system's app sandbox and by your device passcode and encryption. Network requests to the services above are made over HTTPS. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we limit risk by keeping your personal content on your device rather than on a server.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising and analytics components, where enabled, are configured to respect the age settings and policies that apply to the app's App Store age rating. If you believe a child has provided personal information to a service used by the app, please contact us so we can help address it.

9. International Users

The third-party services listed above may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers are governed by each provider's own safeguards and privacy policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example when a new third-party service is added to the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. Contact

If you have any question about this Privacy Policy or about how the app handles information, email us at trathilen1999@icloud.com. We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
